Introduction
Welcome to your Past Life report. Whereas the birthchart
is a symbolic road map describing your current life, the Past Lives chart is a
blueprint of your previous incarnations. The pages that follow will help shed
some light on themes related to your past life instincts. First, let's talk
about reincarnation which is the belief that the current incarnation (as
depicted by our birthchart) is linked to the lives
that we have previously led. This collection of past influences points to
particular experiences you might encounter again so that you can further your
growth and fully develop your creative potential. These past impressions go far
in shaping many of our current thoughts and choices. There are certain gifts a
person seems to possess right
out of the womb! It's as though destiny or fate leads one to
realize these attributes. Of course, we still have to show ambition and make
the effort in order to keep our dreams alive. This report may give confirmation
to talents that you already know you have or open your eyes to ones that you
have yet to discover.
Our past lives are alive and well in our consciousness. This may
already be apparent to you. But on the other hand, these experiences can lie
beyond the threshold of our conscious mind's awareness. What is doing the
remembering, if our mind isn't? Call it your soul, higher consciousness or
whatever explanation feels right to you.
Have you ever heard about karma, that great law of cause and effect? An old timeless saying sums up the whole process: "You
reap what you sew." There are actions and thoughts that defined us in
other lives, or have guided us to where we are in the present. They don't
really exert any control over us. We have freedom of choice. That's a strong
message to remember when reading this report.
Also, don't panic if you read something that says you were not a
perfect person. Nobody is in the current one! Use the report as a learning
tool. The idea is to keep developing and evolving. It's balancing the cosmic
rhythm of past and present that presents each of us with a challenge. Do we
respond positively or negatively? With hope or doubt?
Many of our tendencies are linked to previous incarnations. Certain patterns
have likely been by our side over many lifetimes. As we grow and expand our
awareness, it becomes very possible to step beyond the trappings of past life
baggage.
No doubt you will read various sections that seem to contradict each
other. Each could be true about you. It's important to realize that many
different dimensions of ourselves live within us. Each of us is composed of
memories from so many past lives, combined with an assortment of ways we have
learned to deal with reality in this life, that make us complex beings. See
which descriptions ring true to you as you read through the following pages.
You will notice some traits described have a repeating theme.
I hope you find this report an enjoyable ride into your past life
instincts and thought patterns. They are somewhere in your consciousness.
Perhaps some of what you read will strike a familiar chord. After all, these
pages are all about your past life loves, creative pursuits, adventures,
travels, highs and lows, over many lifetimes. Happy navigating!
The Past Life Chart Structure
Some technical explanations about the Past Life chart (if you detest
technical discussions, then skip this paragraph and jump right into the
report!). The Ascendant in this chart starts with the sign on the cusp of the
12th house, instead of the traditional method of using the sign on the 1st
house cusp, which is the sign rising on the eastern
horizon at the time of birth. Also, the Past Life birthchart
houses are counted clockwise, rather than the conventional way of
counterclockwise. In other words, since the 12th house becomes the Ascendant,
the sign on the cusp of the 11th house now begins the 2nd house, etc., around
the chart wheel. What is considered the Ascendant or 1st house in the
traditional chart becomes the 12th in the Past Life chart. Your planets remain
in the same sign placements, but now occupy different houses, in this new
chart. The planets in signs are interpreted in your report from a past lives
perspective.
Something interesting to consider in thinking of the houses in a
clockwise direction, they are actually now moving in the same direction as the
Nodes of the Moon. As you will read in the report the Moon's nodes are strong
past life or karmic points in a chart. Their retrograde motion is clockwise
meaning they share the same life biorhythms as the houses of the Past Life
chart. By traveling backward, or clockwise, through the houses, you are being
regressed back into a past life analysis. Enjoy your ride down memory filled
lanes!
The Passport
In this section are the first, middle and last names of your Past Lives
astrological identity, the Sun, Moon, and Past Lives Ascendant. Each of these
three building blocks will be discussed as to how they actively shaped many of
your former lives. But before you meet these three key players, you will start
your tour through memory lane with the North Node of the Moon. The North Node
contains a special message about what was your overall life purpose. It was a constant rhythm pulsating in your
consciousness to keep you on target toward your true purposes. It was a
celestial compass trying to guide you to walk your talk with greater clarity.
So sit back, and enjoy reading your past lives primer.
Node in Sagittarius
You had a history of seeking adventurous learning expeditions. One of
your key impulses was discovering various ways to satisfy an animated
imagination. Your soul was normally celebrating another opportunity to
reincarnate, to travel the world over in search of self-discovery. The archetypal
theme for your destiny was to be a motivator. A crucial lesson was not to bite
off more than you could chew. You liked broad perspectives that didn't make
such a big deal over the details. Expansiveness occasionally got you to
overestimate your ability. Many times, a radiant self-confidencemade you a winner anyway.
There were instances when you simply had to be that rogue or gypsy and
cast away caution. A trickster was when you became too analytical. Usually you
became a nervous wreck. Finding a way to balance a need for being the idealist
with having reality-based perceptions was a key to clarity. You required many
diversified experiences in your incarnations. You liked meeting people with
captivating minds. Learning stimulating information or going to exotic
locations made your brain synapses skip a beat. Communicating and exchanging
belief systems with others was a definite high.
Node in 10th house
What types of activities did you participate in that furthered your
soul growth? Reaching for the pinnacle of success was what lit up your life
regularly. If you feared failure it delayed your chances to get ahead. Another
important theme was building a home life that was a source of your strength. A
common concern was "how do I determine those roles that will make me
happy?" When you didn't become overly consumed with work you managed to
stay out of karma's way. What sorts of experiences motivated you? Leadership
positions pumped up your adrenaline. A chance to wield power did at times
entice you. Management was a key expression. Your energy levels peaked when
your ambition was awakened. If you sacrificed or ignored the people who loved
you, you later paid the consequences. When balancing your private and public
lives, it kept you on track as much as becoming a workaholic or isolationist
was in many instances self-defeating. Somewhere always hiding in the caverns of
your memory banks was raw persevering instinct mixed with a tinge of strong
intuition, shaping your life with determination on one hand, and a window for
mystery on the other. When using this wisely and patiently, life was colored
with worthwhile milestones and dependable partners.
Sun: Creativity, Ego, Self-expression
Sun in Virgo:
The sign of Virgo the virgin lighted the late-summer astrological skies
at your birth into this life. Let's explore what significance this had in
regard to your past lives. In traditional astrology the keyword phrase for
Virgo is "I analyze". You showed a questioning mind. There was a
theme associated with your sign that translated into a demand for perfection.
It was important to learn how to turn this mechanism on and off.
Archetypes for Virgo include the editor, perfectionist and diligent
one. There was an innate sense of purpose that depended heavily on established
routines. This latter trait followed you from lifetime to lifetime. It proved
best to carry on without getting so absorbed by the little things that
"the forest got lost for the trees". Worrying didn't guarantee the
job would get done any better.
The cosmic principle at work through many of your past incarnations
was to rely on the steadiness of left brain logic. When you allowed your
intuitive right brain equal playing time everyday life had a lively lubricant.
Your mind grew dulled by the heaviness of work and responsibility when there
was no leisure. You often worked circles around your contemporaries. You found
ego strength when honing your skills. When you didn't let criticism curtail
your ambition, an inner confidence blossomed. You came into this life solarized through a sign promoting analysis. This was a
theme that ran throughout your incarnations and was a key to self-mastery. It
was when you learned how to act from your heart as well as your head that you
achieved the fulfillment you were seeking.
Sun in 1st House
You had solar power personified that put you in the limelight
regularly in previous lives. There was a tendency to attract attention through
your actions. Your creative vitality danced circles around everybody else.
Receiving attention made you feel valuable. Those ignoring you didn't become
your best friends. Greeting new experiences excitedly came naturally. Your will
power was a thing in motion, needing several outlets so that you didn't steam
roll over the needs of others. Leadership roles gave you a chance to show off
your talents. You weren't all that shy. As a matter of fact you could become
downright pushy! Waiting around for permission to be yourself wasn't your
style. Confidence came when you didn't look back for approval.
If there was a challenge, it was learning how not to step on a lover
or friend's toes when pursuing your dreams. The leader and initiator lived
brightly through you. Occupying center stage was gratifying. Your
self-expression blossomed when you found the patience to get focused. The world
responded positively when you portrayed boldness, but turned a cold shoulder
when you acted either too arrogant, or as though you had no determination. You
found fulfillment when you walked your talk with a vision that was sustained by
inspiration.
Moon: Sense of Security, Roots, Feelings
Moon in Leo:
You were lunarized at birth through the sign
of Leo. What does this say about your past life tendencies? An instinctual
creative power followed you from one incarnation to another. The family
ancestries in past lives were linked by a great vitality for self-expression.
Your inner landscapes were filled with treasures of vivid imagination
right out of the womb! A dramatic impulse to attract attention was a repeating
pattern. A challenge was in not being
too self-centered. It was your self-confidence that made people believe in you.
People challenged your power. Avoiding power struggles was another
test. Your greatest allies worked with you, rather than against. You took great
pride in your accomplishments. Losing was never really an option, but did teach
you humility. Risk taking was in your blood. Your subconscious called to you to
never lose hope and to intuitively exert your will power.
Moon in 1st house
You had intuitive power to know how to fulfill your identity in past
lives. The trick was using it! Wanting to help others sometimes was given
priority over your own needs. You instinctually knew how to initiate actions to
preserve your sense of security. People did at times see you as impatient or
erratic. An inner restlessness caused you to act impulsively. Your emotional
intensity was evident to others. Moods could get the best of you. Patience was
a test. Being too self-focused was another challenge. Keeping your dependency
needs balanced was a key to success.
An inner feeling to be free and spontaneous many times outweighed your
need for stable roots. Then again, that there were lives you wanted to know
there was someone to come home to. You liked to quickly express your
adventurous imagination.
Ascendant: Persona, Identity, Calling Card
Leo on Ascendant:
With the sign Leo as your past lives Ascendant, occupying center stage
often colored your incarnations. Your will power was a blessing or a curse. The
good news is that you had tremendous creative drive. The not so good news is
that you easily got a bruised ego when your creations didn't get rave reviews.
You had a way of making life come to you. You found great power in impressing
others with your know-how. Romantic love was a catalyst for bringing out your
best or worst. The passion fueled your
mind and spirit to express yourself forcefully. When
your heart was broken by an unhappy romance, you became bitterly sad. Watching
those extremes kept you on a clearer road to success. A flair for the dramatic
followed you through several incarnations. You regularly looked out into the
world through eyes that sought attention and fame. Leadership roles adorned
you. A natural charisma influenced
others to follow you. There was never one role in a lifetime that suited you. A
need for several outlets was a repeating scenario.
The Quest
Mercury: Communication, Perceptions and Logic
Mercury in Virgo
You were Mercurialized
at birth through the sign of Virgo pointing to analytical mental impulses in
past lives. Your communication style was meticulous and quite objective.
Decision-making went smoothly after you sifted through all of the
facts. You didn't like the gray areas. A precision-like sense guided you in
seeing when something in your immediate environment was out of place.
Perfection was agonizing. It wasn't easy to turn off a chatter box voice within
pointing out your faults. Sometimes you turned this tendency to judge others.
You were more popular when knowing how to stop critiquing yourself and those
who knew you the best.
Hard working was your middle name. Work that called for detail didn't
make you nervous. Forgetting to play was probably a common complaint of your
lovers and family. Technical ideas showed off your ability. The world of
business stimulated the competitive part of your brain that enjoyed problem
solving. Your mental outlook was brighter when you didn't succumb habitually to
negative thinking, and when you had opportunities to learn new skills.
Mercury in 12th house
Your perceptions moved intuitively, trying to tune into the beliefs
that would give you a sense of fulfillment. Finding the faith to pursue your
dreams was the challenge. You idealistically looked out at the world, seeing it
as a landscape you could fill in with creative brilliance. Your mind imagined
ways to explore the paths that matched your expectations. A spiritual outlook
guided you through many lives. It was when your idealism was shattered that you
had to reach back for the strength to carry on. You sought causes that
represented your highest values. Divine discontent caused you disappointment
until you came back to reality.
Communication could be clear when this was your intention. Though it became as murky as a
Venus: Relationships, Values, Comfort.
Venus in Leo
With the love goddess adorning you through the sign of Leo at birth,
you came from past lives where you sought after highly creative and dramatic
lovers. Many people experienced you as symbolizing vitality and passion. Your
social instincts were shaded with a hue of carrying yourself with great pride
combined with a fierce competitive spirit.
The ideal soul mate was someone with self-confidence and a willingness
to share center stage with you. You were attracted to lovers showering you with
their generosity and affection. A never-ending drive to encourage those you
loved to pursue their dreams made you popular. There were a few tense moments
if you grew too pushy. The same could be said that when others tried to force
their needs onto you, they were often met with a willful resistance. You liked
being your own person. There were times you compulsively sought approval and
applause to the point of not being yourself.
Your romantic fulfillment depended greatly on your choosing a partner
with a lively personality and an innate generosity.
Venus in 2nd house
You were poised when interacting socially, especially when confident
with the company. You tended to be a stabilizing force in relationships, a levelheaded
approach leading the way. Self-sufficient lovers attracted your attention, and
your knack for being resourceful brought you to them.
Conflict in partnerships really bothered you. You did have a tendency
to be too compromising in trying to please others. Some accused you of being stubborn, though
you explained this as determination. Sensual types made you feel special, as
did being in romantic atmospheres. Your peers found you reliable and grounded.
You liked to save for a rainy day. When individuals generously shared their
wealth with you, they occupied a special place in your heart. You valued peace
of mind and comfort. It was the generosity of others toward you that made you
feel valuable. Working with those you loved in a spirit of harmony meant a lot
to you.
Mars: Assertion, Courage, Identity
Mars in Sagittarius
What would a warrior planet in the fiery sign of Sagittarius mean
regarding your past lives? You were a restless adventurer. Sitting still and
waiting for life to happen to you wasn't your style. Fighting for your beliefs
was a regular pattern. You liked to travel, even along unexplored territories.
Finding those back trails made you excited. Your initiating impulse was
accelerated when chasing your romanticized dreams. You needed idealism to keep
fueling your drive. Taking risks that others feared to try did cause you
various injuries and loss. A competitive streak developed when someone was
trying to outsmart you.
Your identity was strengthened through incorporating the beliefs and knowledge
of those living beyond your home territory. People found you to be an
energizing force in inspiring them to be all they could be. Impatience did
cause you to get easily angered. Those betraying your trust weren't always
forgiven as honesty meant much to you. Learning to steer clear of hasty judgements did make you easier to tolerate. You didn't find
sitting in a classroom as much fun as learning through exploring. Your
concentration grew strong when your interest was captured. Religion and spirituality
at times found you a devote practitioner. Though you sometimes let individuals
know they were hypocrites when you thought them not practicing what they
preached. When you moved with an acceptance for differences and with a clear
vision of the future, life seemed more generous.
Mars in 10th house
You took initiative when it came to pursuing your ambitions. It was
the follow through that needed a little attention. When you worked on the
discipline to go along with the effort, you were quite a force. Your adrenaline
got pumping when you found professions that captured the brunt of your
intensity. Roles that furthered the growth of your identity were motivating.
Though you didn't exactly like answering to authority figures! A competitive
side erupted when you slipped into a type "A" personality. Getting
ahead of the competition was an innate impulse. Fighting to defend the work you
dedicated yourself to was passionate and was a
repeating pattern. What made you become territorial? When
people tried to take away control from you. Personal autonomy was godliness
in your eyes. Impatience with long drawn out projects was a reality. You liked
to embark on tasks that could be finished quickly. Assertiveness blew hot and
cold. It was easy when you were fully the one in charge. Bucking the system
came when you no longer respected the rules. Anger was shown hotheadedly when
people weren't following your orders. You often held back angry feelings due to
not being comfortable with what others might think. Losing control in this way
was not desired.
Jupiter: Knowledge, Expansion, Philosophy, Travel
Jupiter in Capricorn
Having Jupiter, the planet of good fortune, in the sign of Capricorn
indicates that you enthusiastically pursued your ambitions. This was especially
true after you discovered the avenues that lit your inspiration. Discipline didn't always come early in life.
You sometimes were afraid to question authority figures. Though it must be said
when you found the steps toward your own destiny, you could speak your mind.
You chose to expand your potential through challenging yourself to risk failing
in endeavors that could lead to financial and professional gains. Learning was
easier when you convinced yourself that education might be a ticket into
greater opportunities. It was pragmatic knowledge that interested you the most.
Why? Because it could be converted into a reality that helped
you to define your future that much more clearly. You did at times
become so cautious that you missed the boat on a path that would have increased
your happiness. You were someone able to learn from experience, which meant you
often didn't repeat the same mistake twice. When you kept a positive attitude
life seemed more generous. You weren't easily convinced that luck was real. You
believed that effort was the way to success. You found confidence through
achieving small baby steps of accomplishments. Travel for pleasure was good for
your spirit when you were willing to spend the time and money. When maintaining
a broad perspective, you showed more flexibility, which enticed the world to
bring you its treasures.
Jupiter in 8th house
A positive and enterprising outlook influenced you to look for
profitable alliances. You felt great if you managed to pull off moving in
multiple directions successfully. Although there were times
when you regretted not focusing on one major undertaking at a time.
Losing important confidantes or romantic partners through not paying attention
to them did get you thinking about your priorities. A tendency to be too secretive distanced you
from others. Spontaneity in tempting fate, or even living in dangerous
situations, made you feel refreshed. Learning to keep life simple proved a wise
alternative. Getting lost in compulsive desires needed to be
kept in check. A powerful rejuvenation of energy followed when you
turned things around. Travel was one of your favorite ways to process
information or past experiences. Luck smiled favorably upon you when letting go
of your irrational fears. Good fortune came through having the wisdom to know
which belief systems would expand your options.
The Journey
Saturn: Ambition, Seriousness, Focus, Responsibility
Saturn in Aries
Ambition came pumping through you spontaneously, says your past
history, with Saturn placed in the eager sign Aries. Discipline came with much
practice. You were serious when it came to proving yourself. Patience was a big
lesson. You sometimes charged an obstacle with a headfirst onslaught, only to
realize with a little reflection that you only needed to expend half the
energy. Not learning from past mistakes sometimes found you repeating the same
ones over and over. Your greatest fear was whether you could find ways to
satisfy your identity needs. When you became more comfortable with your
self-image, your actions showed remarkable poise and focus.
A karmic shadow was getting into senseless power struggles as a means
to hiding your own insecurities. When finding outlets that allowed you to feel
a sense of importance, you were more content. You often defined yourself
through challenging professions, and as someone searching for the passion to
blaze a new trail if there wasn't one that already fit you.
Saturn in 6th house
What was your main focus? There were a few! They were diet, health,
and work. You had to develop discipline in these areas. You consistently asked
at crucial points during an incarnation: how can I become more efficient? Being
organized gave you a sense of control. Rigidity related to being too critical
of self, or others, sometimes produced karmic woes. The antidote was greater flexibility
in this area, that is, when you were determined not to repeat the same old
lessons needing to be learned. You could have delegated better. If not overly
picky, people liked you more. Dead-end jobs dulled your mind. Service-oriented
occupations tended to bring out your best. You were skillful in being detailed.
A shadow was self-doubt. It sometimes caused you depression. Clear
definition in how to solve problems was what you liked. You had to pace
yourself to avoid burnout. Also, taking yourself less seriously proved
valuable. A major redefining regularly occurred during lifetimes associated
with a positive attitude. Seeing the cup as half full rather
than half empty helped. Wisdom came through knowing what truly could be
changed and what was best left alone.
Uranus: Individuality, Goals, Uniqueness, Freedom
Uranus in Taurus
You had a tendency to move slowly toward future goals for the most
part, indicates having Uranus in the sign Taurus. Although
your mind did switch to fast forward abruptly, when you saw an opportunity to
enhance your financial situation. You didn't like to rush into major
decisions and could resist strongly if being forced to do so. You had a way of
staying calm within a storm. When you lacked discipline, you did have a habit of
spending money in a hurry. You did need to keep an eye on eccentric wasteful
patterns.
Inventiveness often earned you enough to buy the finer things in life.
Tuning into progressive trends put you ahead of the competition. Occasionally
you purposely would do outrageous things just to spice up your everyday
lifestyle. Maintaining a sense of direction was essential to keep you
proceeding ahead in a centered way so you could enjoy your objectives that much
faster.
Uranus in 5th house
In what way were you unconventional? It was how you went about
expressing yourself creatively. Spontaneous outbursts of energy attracted
attention. A futuristic vision came alive when you felt motivated to reinvent
yourself through showing the world your newfound talents. Your goals were a key
ingredient in keeping you young and full of vitality. A sense of direction was
paramount to your success. It gave you self-confidence to keep on trucking in
spite of the obstacles. Your romances were fast and furious. You didn't really
enjoy long-term commitments unless you had a long leash. Freedom to answer to
nobody was your preference. You did try to modify this when you fell in love or
needed to get along with authority figures, though it was a test. You rebelled
against anyone trying to label your potential. Being able to walk your talk by
listening to your own drumbeat was a must. Stimulation occurred in the midst of
promoting ideas and actions that made you feel proud. In not being able to
compromise or growing suddenly willful you met a real test. Unorthodox
approaches made it hard for you to fit in. You weren't real flexible. Communication
breakdowns did cause your relationships a few ups and downs. You were inventive
ferociously. The trick was getting disciplined. When you did have the focus,
you usually found success.
You believed in ideals that had a better than average chance to come
true. Your idealism was awakened through serving the causes you loved. In your
eyes, dreams were flimsy if they didn't have dedication to back them up.
Learning skills that helped pave the way for you to earn a living were greatly
valued. Hard-working individuals won a special place in your heart. Your
standards were high for yourself and for others. It was customary for you to
treat romance somewhat businesslike.
Lovers had better show logical thinking, as this was a prerequisite.
This isn't saying that you couldn't ever be a hopeless romantic. It's just that
you had a scrutinizing mind wanting to know that someone could hold up their
end of the bargain. The sooner you understood that there were no perfect
lovers, the happier you became.
A major challenge was perfection, knowing when and how to turn off
this tendency. Striving to do excellence helped you reach milestones. Getting
too lost in the left brain needed a little right brain, intuitive balance. You
wanted from the deepest part of your soul to be able to accept your gifts as
well as shortcomings. You found transcendental growth through letting go of
self-doubt and choosing to give your time to those appreciating you.
In what way were you extra intuitive? It was in regard to what was
going on in other people's minds. You had finely developed radar in reading the
mood of a situation. Your idealism enticed you to go beyond the limits of your
conscious mind.
A test was not expecting the world to respond to your every wish. Your
dedication to your beliefs was intoxicating, as long as you didn't get too lost
in your own views. Your spirituality tended to be an
uplifting force making others forget their troubles. It helped you
during times of self-doubt. What was the biggest challenge? Perfection was
either a blessing or a curse. Knowing when to turn the switch on, or off, was a
must. Running away from your strength took you into escapism. Faith transformed
your denial into performing at a high level. Knowing when to be reasonable in
expectations certainly made the journey more pleasurable. You searched for a
purpose that inspired your inner and outer quests.
Pluto: Personal Power, Self-mastery, Rebirth, Loss, Passion
Pluto in Cancer
Empowering yourself through securing your position in the world was a
past lives tendency. When you decided to lay down roots, you found a feeling of
permanency. Maintaining a sense of security was a regular pattern. You displayed
charisma through an intensity to care about others. There was sometimes a
mystery about the way you guarded your privacy. Sudden volatile mood swings
were an occasional downfall. You were better received by others when this
didn't become an often event. There were times when you swallowed your feelings
rather than vent your true opinions.
There was a shadow. What was it? A haunting fear of
change, or a loss of someone close. When you found the strength to deal
with this side of yourself, you acted with greater spontaneity. Self-mastery
was discovered through not projecting your own shortcomings onto others. You
found rebirth or a sense of renewal when you greeted the present and future as
the agents of a ticket to passionate growth, rather than as the disturbers of
your comfort zones.
Pluto in 2nd house
How did you go about seeking personal empowerment? That's an easy one
to answer. You learned as much as you could about the economy you lived within.
A renewed sense of purpose was discovered through a tenacious resourcefulness.
You didn't have much quit in you. Patience was the key. Careless spending did
need a watchful eye upon it. A powerful self-examination manifested itself if
you felt too hemmed in by your fixed thinking. A compulsive dive into various
desires got you to ask thought-provoking questions. A shadow frequently
followed you into incarnations linked either to too great an attachment to
material wealth, or overly identifying with a poverty consciousness. Finding
the middle ground in this dilemma allowed a new revitalized you to be born.
Giving and receiving required great awareness.
Footnotes
You have already been introduced to the ten planets. Certain planetary pairs in
your chart have a special relationship to one another due to particular angular
distances separating them, known as aspects. You could say the two planets in
an aspect travel and interact together along the same circuit. The following
aspects will be listed under five types. Two are known as the soft aspects: the
sextile (60 degrees) and trine (120 degrees). These
two aspects generally point to more gentle themes, and therefore will describe
past life trends that went very well for you. They indicate a lower voltage of
electricity and produced less friction in your mind and through your actions.
The planets involved in a trine or sextile are more
likely to talk about areas where you flowed without much effort.
The more hard or intense aspects are the conjunction (0 degrees),
square (90 degrees) and opposition (180 degrees). They required your best
understanding in past lives. Planets that are part of an intense aspect you
will notice often indicate lessons that must be learned, and follow us from one
incarnation into another until we get them in balance. These higher voltage
aspects don't mean the planets operated negatively, only that there was much
more force behind them. "Soft" does not mean good and
"intense" does not imply bad. It is often the more intense aspects
that deepen our soul growth, that is, if we learn how to use their power
wisely. If we don't it's like taking one step forward and three back.
It might be helpful to keep some keywords in mind for the aspects. The
sextile represents Excitation and Eagerness. The
planets in this aspect give clues as to how their energies worked in a
stimulating way through you. The trine is a special Harmony. The two planets
involved show you were confident of their interacting energies. The conjunction
is where two planets are joined at the hip. There is a Fusion or powerful
blending of these energies. The square can reveal where you encountered
Friction. Pay special attention to these aspects in particular because they
denote themes that are strong past patterns. Squares ask us to resolve their
conflict by finding creative outlets. The opposition requires a Balancing act.
It is similar to a seesaw. Gaining objective awareness about each planet is a
key. Remember, it was usually the most intense aspects that stretched you the
most in past lives.
Moon square Midheaven
The pressure you put on yourself to satisfy work and home demands was stressful. Keeping these areas in balance
was testy. If you became too overprotective it made you worry. Learning to let
go gave your life more pleasure. You were intense about ambitions. A restless
desire to achieve success was a trait. You had sudden mood swings that made for
inner turbulence. This energy did at times bring instability. Although, when
harnessed this force did give you the courage to try things otherwise that
might have passed you by. It was important that you discriminated what causes
were worth your time and dedication.
Sun square Mars
You believed in the spirit of competition and were dynamic in
expressing yourself. Patience wasn't your strong suit. People liked your zest
for life as it motivated them to get moving. You didn't pay a lot of attention
to limits. A me-focus caused tension if you carried it
to the extreme. You got bored if there was no stress. Channeling your energy constructively was a
prerequisite for your being successful in love and profession. Bickering with
authority figures occurred when your territory seemed too invaded. You liked a
lot of elbowroom when it came to making decisions. Discipline came when
captivated by a subject of interest, and not a moment before. You experienced
instant karma when not keeping your head when angry. When you avoided conflict
altogether, it took the fire out of your enthusiasm.
Sun trine Uranus
You had big hopes that the future would revive your life. Sometimes
you had unrealistic goals, expecting too much. Your self-confidence made others
believe in you. You liked being around thought-provoking individuals. You were
more of a unifier than a divider. This doesn't mean you couldn't rebel, only
that the impulse wasn't so strong. You had a relaxed vision about the future,
trusting that everything worked out for the best.
Sun conjunct
You dreamed large! Imagination paved the way for your reality. You did
need to make sure you were stepping on sound footing. People were anxious for
you to make good on promises. Idealism
was the lighthouse in the night that kept you inspired in spite of the
difficulties. You always had to overcome the demands and rigors of everyday
life to rise to the level of your creative power. You had to have a vision
great enough to contain your desires, but not so rose-colored, that you weren't
taken seriously. Spirituality was a must, without it you lacked the conviction
to your highest aspirations. When you realized some perspiration would be
needed, it kept you grounded. Others sensed that you knew something they
didn't. When you were emotionally lost, life was confusing. Choosing your
missions carefully was required so you didn't become devoted to the wrong
cause. Your internal compass was a guide, a little voice trying to cheer you
on, and warning you when danger was staring you in the eyes.
Sun square Node
Your incarnations had a special emphasis on finding
your own creative style. If you didn't, you weren't as easy to live with You had a forceful way of making life respond to your plea
for greater wealth and love. It wasn't in your blood to patiently wait for the
world to greet you with open arms. An impatient streak sometimes was better
channeled at appropriate targets. You needed many ways to release your energy.
A damaged ego through being criticized or ostracized meant you had to find the
strength to rise above these challenges. When you demanded attention, the world
did listen. Though in simply acting self-assured they opened
their ears even wider. Your destiny unfolded clearly when you met lovers
sharing your similar need to live life as though there might not be a tomorrow.
Mercury oppose Saturn
You liked people with solid logic. A business mind that carefully
sought out safe situations was part of your intellect. There was a cautious
approach to relationships. Fear kept you from being too reckless. It's when you
failed to say what was on your mind that partnerships lost their clarity.
People in positions of authority liked to know that they had the benefit of
your keen insights. If you grew too overbearing, individuals resisted with all
their might. When you talked to create win-win arrangements, life was happier.
Staying positive in thought was the key challenge.
Venus trine Saturn
You had at least one side of you that respected tradition. You were
more inclined to trust friends and lovers that had common sense. Your
relationships had a stabilizing effect on you. There was a pleasant demeanor
you possessed that drew others to you. The longer you were committed to a lover
or family, the more value you placed on these areas. What you lacked in
ambition, you often made up for in meeting people encouraging you to go after
your serious desires.
Venus conjunct Pluto
You were intense! You really knew how to take care of yourself. Relationships were a supreme test. The
interesting thing is that you had lives where romance was smooth and for keeps.
Although you could be possessive and so could your lovers. But the give and take
was fairly reasonable. Then there was life in the extreme when you didn't have
much stability, and you weren't easy to live with. It was sometimes your
partners that were impossible to get along with. When the power was equal you
were happier. Jealousy and manipulation only were trouble if they grew extreme.
Finding someone able to trust you wasn't easy. You could be very loyal. Getting over loss was a tough one. You tended
to grieve for long periods. Sooner or later living for the
present made sense. Forgiving yourself and those betraying you did free
up great creative energy. You had passion constantly boiling hot within.
Venus conjunct
Ascendant
Tact and diplomacy came easily. People perceived you to be comfortable
in all different kinds of social situations. Relationships meant much to you
because you thrived on the attention received. Sometimes you were too wanting
of approval. A test was being decisive. It was your values that fueled your
intensity. You enjoyed the stimulation of people.
Mars square
Actions fueled by idealism was a key ingredient in your lives. You didn't really
wait around for your intuition to guide you as much as leaped first and
reflected later. Was this a good impulse? Much depended on the results! You
were a bit lost without a cause. Something was needed to inspire your dreams.
You were careless in ignoring the danger signs. Getting fooled by the illusion
of fame and romance did occur. The interesting thing is that you sometimes
stumbled upon great creative expression when chasing after an impossible rainbow.
You felt empty without intense challenges. Even when settling into a normal routine, outlets that let you fulfill
idealistic striving was needed. Your energy levels went from hot to cold
quickly. Your moods could swing in unpredictable ways, depending on your
happiness levels. Anger came out by the bucket full if held back for long
periods of time. When you had faith you weren't as likely to choose escapism.
Mars conjunct Node
When you incarnated it wasn't exactly quietly, more like two cymbals
colliding loudly. You were meant to be bold and attract attention. If you grew
too aggressive people resisted your force. If you lacked assertiveness, you
were too easily taken for granted. So what was your happiest strategy? It was
when being decisive, but also knowing the consequences of your actions. You had
to be spontaneous much of the time. Careless disregard for others caused
problems. Courageous actions were often rewarded. The warrior archetype wanted
expression in the various roles you chose to act out. Anger boiled over if you
sat on it for too long. Of course, exercising no self-control made you a
difficult force to deal with. You had a self-motivation that guided you to
embark on trails that others shied away from. Facing your own shortcomings made
you a stronger person.
Jupiter trine Uranus
Thoughts about the future came without much notice,
as a matter of fact it is more accurate to say there was a steady stream of
them. You needed goals as badly as a fish must have water. Your philosophy was
"live, and let live." You needed plenty of breathing room but weren't
really a disruptive force. In many ways your ideas served to unify or rally
others around them. You enjoyed being exposed to various learning environments.
Progressive thinking invigorated your mind.
Jupiter trine
Your ideals are what you preached. It was living up to them that
wasn't easy. You were fortunate in that life often embraced your dreams. You
liked romantic escapes. Falling in love was a wonderful high. You did need to
be careful in trusting others.
Saturn trine Pluto
There was wisdom shown in being patient. If there was lack of ambition
it was due to thinking that something just wasn't worth the effort. You usually
conserved your energies quite well. You were smooth as a negotiator. Good
common sense took you far. Taking life's ups and downs in an even keel manner
made for happier times.
Saturn trine
Ascendant
You had a relaxed attitude about work. Ambition didn't rule you, nor
did it completely define you. You approached commitments realistically.
Responsibility didn't scare you, as long as you saw obligations as worth your
time. Pacing yourself kept you from burning out.
Uranus trine
Causes had a way of knowing how to find you. The key thing was in
knowing which to join, as differentiated from the ones that were not giving
much back to you. There was a romantic within that wanted to believe that
people were good. This worked fine until meeting someone whom was taking
advantage of your idealism. Your beliefs had a way of gaining strength as you
put them into practice.
Uranus square
Ascendant
Ideas traveled through you at the speed of light, sometimes causing
you to ride one suddenly onto a new highway. Your fast changes of direction
made some think you to be undependable. You enjoyed shocking others with
actions and thought-provoking ideas. It wasn't in your nature to be a copycat.
You were trend setting for sure. Causing friction with no real purpose behind
the action wasn't productive. You were quite a catalyst for change. Erratic
inconsistencies in behavior proved problematic in maintaining closeness or
finishing what you started out to do. When you discovered your unique personal
style it did find you with a clearer sense of direction.
Your ideals had to be in alignment with your major life purposes or
you were never at ease. Perfection was a driving energy. Dealing with everyday
reality was tough. You needed structure but defied it. The exception being when
you found the life directions that gave you inspirational focus. Irrational
fears sometimes kept you from showing your ability. Developing sound reasoning
powers was as essential as having the faith to pursue your dreams.
Ascendant trine Node
There was ease in tuning into those paths that blended nicely with
your need for self-discovery. You weren't one to impose your demands on others.
Going with the flow and waiting for the right time to make a change was part of
the plan. A key was remembering to walk through the door, once you found it was
open.
Just as the Ascendant in the Passport section that began this report
was described as a sign serving a special purpose, each of the other eleven
houses has a sign that helps define its meaning. What follows is a trip through
each of the other past lives houses or environments to give you a view of
additional characteristics. First are listed the keywords for each house.
2nd House: Comfort,
values, money, ownership.
Cancer on 2nd house:
You showed an inclination to play it safe. This doesn't mean you never
took a risk, only that you made sure they were well-calculated ones. There were
times you missed out on a few opportunities by not moving forward fast enough.
You needed warm-up time to adjust to change. You tended to be a bit clingy in
relationships, but not necessarily possessive. You let go more when lovers gave
you no reason to be concerned about a commitment. Your emotions intensified
when your sense of security was threatened.
Loyalty to friends, family and lovers is what kept them close. Family
and home were highly valued.
3rd House:
Perceptions, learning, communication, insight.
Gemini on 3rd house:
A fast paced mental nature was a key feature. Ideas had a way of spinning through your
brain quickly. Boredom with life when it grew too predictable occurred.
Changing directions too much before finishing what you started was a challenge.
Travel was a way to keep you mentally stimulated. The world of books entertained
you. A curiosity about life was a trait. Adapting to new circumstances is
something you did rather successfully. You welcomed change if it promised hope
or the possibility of new options. Your
perceptions about people and life in general often surprised others. Being a
catalyst for change gave you a feeling of self-importance.
4th House: Home,
security, nurturing, roots.
Taurus on 4th house:
Developing a stable inner sense of security and relaxed home
atmosphere was something you desired. Some accused you of being a bit
possessive. A calm inner stability came when you felt in control of your life.
It's not that you didn't like surprises, but preferred the ones that were more
pleasing to the heart and mind. You found it essential not to let stress get
the best of you.
5th House:
Self-expression, creativity, confidence, romance, risk-taking.
Aries on 5th house:
A powerful creative drive colored past incarnations. Your ego was
bruised when you saw your creations being ignored. An innate drive to be the
center of attention was a regular pattern. You had several lives that featured
a ferocious competitive spirit. An endless energy to express yourself blessed
you. You were lost when living out meaningless roles. You became bored when not
challenged. Love made you feel on top of the world. Entering relationships
quickly was a past lives tendency. You took it personally when lovers or
friends didn't openly cheer you on in life. You didn't always pace yourself.
Your hunches about investments sometimes lacked reasoning. But at the same time
your courage in taking risks sometimes paid off.
6th House: Learning
skills, work environment, perfection, diet, health.
Pisces on 6th house:
You had high expectations. It doesn't mean you were always a
perfectionist. But sometimes perfection haunted you. It was realizing when you
had done enough on a project or task that was the key. You were very devoted to
learning new skills, once you discovered the directions you needed to be
pursuing. You didn't always rely on your intuition enough. It was integrating
your powers of analysis with your feelings that made for a challenge. Too much
dedication to causes that gave you little in return was a potential downfall.
You did learn a few lessons about reality testing as life went on. You hated
criticism. It stopped you from really showing your true talent. Your faith did
allow you to climb over a few hurdles now and then. If you grew very
disappointed in people, it did cause you to drown your sorrows in negativity.
You didn't like facing reality all that much. Balancing idealism and pragmatism
was a challenge.
7th House:
Relationships, marriage, partnerships, social awareness.
Aquarius on 7th house:
Your relationships were customarily unpredictable. You were attracted
to individualists. The types of partners were as varied as possibly could be.
Even peers came from a wide array of backgrounds. You liked individuals with
progressive minds. People stating the obvious didn't hold your attention. An
attraction to individuals fighting limiting traditions did occur. Freedom in
your partnerships was a strong drive. You rebelled against those trying to
limit it. Definitely you were not so comfortable being ruled by a need to act
politically correct. Your usual thought pattern was that love wasn't a
permanent guarantee. So it was a good idea to make the most of the moment! You
were experimental in relationships. You transcended the boundaries of what a
society deemed as acceptable. You didn't always fit what the rules defined as
okay. Questioning authority happened regularly. Equality in partnerships was
essential to your happiness.
8th House: Power,
joint resources, rebirth, passion, self-mastery.
Capricorn on 8th house:
You were quite cautious with your money. You liked to know where every
dollar was going. This didn't always warm the heart of your romantic partners.
You preferred mates that could either understand your logic, or let you control
the assets. If you grew too tight with your money, lovers became angry.
Wastefulness was something you didn't tolerate too well. Power struggles
occurred when you refused to negotiate. You usually felt pushed toward success.
Your ambition was at times intense. You attracted responsibility as much as a
sweet smelling flower pulls in the bees. When you stayed clear of too much
rigidity, your relationships were more flowing.
Showing emotions wasn't easy. Hurt feelings tended to stay with you. You did
become tough skinned so that you weren't easily talked out of your goals.
9th House: travel,
learning, philosophy, knowledge, optimism.
Sagittarius on 9th house:
You loved to travel. You didn't believe there was necessarily one
absolute truth in solving life's dilemmas. Your philosophy tended to be
eclectic in nature. Drawing from a wide range of knowledge was your style.
People either liked your bluntness or detested it. It didn't really bother you
one way or the other. You were wise when not thinking too narrowly. When you
became too judgmental your vision was fogged. You were normally a restless
soul. You didn't like feeling down for long. You only grew lazy if clouds of
boredom settled over you. Fatigue and loss of direction were more the result of
not finding any inspiration. Though you could rekindle that
spark in a flash. You liked to sway the minds of others through
persuasive speech.
10th House:
Professions, ambition, leadership, focus, commitments.
Scorpio on 10th house:
You were a no nonsense type. Work was not to be taken lightly in your
eyes. Life had to be on your own terms. This means you were not going to be
forced without quite a fight into doing things against your will. You usually
carried yourself with a powerful presence. You found your way in the world with
a ferocious determination. If your ambitions met with resistance, you took this
quite personally. You came back that much harder with a persistent effort to
succeed. Controlling behaviors didn't make you popular, nor did the bossy ones.
You enjoyed showing others that you could take care of yourself. People did
sometimes envy your life. When you generously helped those in need, you were
admired. When the chips were down, you grew that much stronger. Adversity
brought out your strength. Power struggles occurred either due to people trying
to manipulate you or because you were attempting to display your own sense of
self-mastery. You needed to balance a
tendency to being consumed by work. Forgiveness was the key to getting things
back on track in your relationships.
11th house: Goals,
individuality, freedom, inventive, progressive, unique.
Libra on 11th house:
You had a tendency to weigh your options carefully before moving
forward. This doesn't mean you had no sense of direction! It is just describing
the way you liked to mull things over before proceeding ahead to reach goals.
It was frustrating if you allowed others to talk you out of things you needed
for yourself. You depended heavily on the input of friends. Learning to tune
into your intuition sometimes gave you clearer vision. A lover was a disruptive
force occasionally, especially if you looked for too much of yourself in the
relationship. Love aroused your passion to go after the future, but could be so
unpredictable it caused you to lose your way. You were sensitive about getting
support from those closest to you.
12th house: Idealism,
intuition, escape, faith, beliefs.
Virgo on 12th house:
You showed a realistic approach to expressing your ideals. This
doesn't mean you were never intuitive or refused to act on faith. It only means
your subconscious tendency was to think first, and believe later. Perfection
was a nagging voice in your head. It served you well when it came to performing
with excellence. However, it tormented you when you couldn't accept that your
best efforts were good enough. You got too lost in following others causes. A
clash between your mind and feelings did occur.
You dealt with this in two ways. Either denying you had feelings or
boldly letting others know just how you felt. A fear of making a mistake was
frustrating. Whenever you had the faith not to let self-doubt rule you, life
sent you great abundance. When you kept from surrendering too much power, you
were happier.
Planets in actuality never really move backward, but can appear to do
so. This is referred to as retrograde motion, and as you will read has special
past life meaning surrounding a particular planet's symbolism. The following
are planets that were moving retrograde at your birth with a description as to
how this played out for you in other incarnations.
Mercury Retrograde:
It was a repeating pattern that you had a challenge in keeping your
thoughts positive. Your analytical side was well developed more often than not.
A tendency to instinctively rethink your decisions was a trait. Knowing when to
stop trying to perfect a task was essential to your happiness. You became
nervous if rushed into decisions. Instant recall of facts happened when you
least expected it. There was a need to feel like you could control the pace of
your mind. You weren't bothered by information overload, as long it was facts
of your choosing, or preference. The challenge was to stay clear of becoming
compulsively negative in your thinking. When you felt mentally at ease and
clear, life seemed good.
Jupiter retrograde:
It was a repeating pattern that you had a challenge in not foolishly
believing in the wrong things or people. When you were on target and accurately
assessing situations, you were a dynamo of efficiency and inspiration. Another
challenge was in the area of confidence. When you lost faith it took the wind
out of your sails. The search for an expansive enough vision was an innate
drive. People didn't respond as well if
you preached dogma or grew too judgmental. When you kept an open mind there was
less friction. You had a capacity to
embrace a positive outlook, that is, if self-doubt didn't seep into your thinking.
Another challenge was running too fast to where the grass might be greener,
running away from facing problems. The optimist in you needed to know limits.
When you walked with commonsense and put your ideas into worthwhile actions,
the world had no choice but to eventually give into your needs for
self-discovery.
Saturn retrograde:
It was a repeating pattern that you had much to learn regarding
flexibility versus rigidity. These two opposites were a sore spot of
contention. A tendency to get extremely focused when you enjoyed a role was a past
pattern. You were happier when feeling in control of your life. Knowing when to
show vulnerability and when to show a tough set of armor was wisdom indeed!
Some thought you lacked ambition. What they didn't see working behind the
scenes was your inner search to find professions and directions that seemed
worth the effort. An inclination toward becoming a one-dimensional workaholic
was a potential trap. Remembering that life was a multidimensional panorama
made for happier times. There was a need
to steer clear of icebergs that brought depression and feelings of
rejection. Responding with courage to
your commitments lessened your anxiety about them. It was in not letting fear
keep you from the love and success you painfully wanted that you reached the highest
of milestones.
Uranus Retrograde:
It was a repeating pattern that you had unique goals, reserved just
for you. When you didn't do this, life lacked meaning. When you solely served
your own purposes this caused quite a ruffle in the feathers of those you loved
and cared about. Finding the midstream worked the best regarding these two
extremes of sacrifice and doing your own thing. Your ideas sent shock waves at
times when individuals or collective bodies didn't like the message. You did
sometimes tap into a collective trend before it became in vogue. It did make
you nervous about how you might be judged. Many ideas were kept internalized
until you were sure the coast was clear and safe enough to present the notions.
Were you ever more outwardly disruptive? For sure! This usually occurred when
you were so aroused by injustices or thinking restrictions imposed upon you.
There was a need to perceive with fore thought, which fights were worth the
struggle. Being different just to be different or starting conflicts with no
purpose, were ways you took many steps in the wrong direction. Listening to
cues from the universe on which directions promised accelerated growth was
wise. Your vision of the future was as strong as the ability to remember what
gave your imagination an electrifying sensation. Patience took effort!
